CHLORELLA ANTIOXIDANT SMOOTHIE RECIPE

Chlorella is the nutrient powerhouse that’s giving spirulina a run for its algae popularity.  Chlorella is a single-celled, green freshwater algae that’s packed with so many vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants and minerals that it’s well on its way to being included in the superfood category. Chlorella is rich in protein, chlorophyll and antioxidants. INGREDIENTS: Serves 2

  • 1 cup frozen organic blackberries

  • 1 cup frozen organic raspberries

  • 1 cup frozen organic blueberries

  • ½ cup organic strawberries

  • ½ cup coconut water

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

  • 1 teaspoon powdered high quality chlorella

  • ½ cup ice cubes

PREP:

  1. Combine the blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, coconut water, filtered water and ice cubes into your high-powered blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Add in the fresh ginger and chlorella and pulse until mixed. Enjoy right away to reap the benefits.
